Meet Our Doctors

 

Dr. A.H.S. Clarke

 MB BS FRCGP DCH DA DRCOG

 

Qualified St Bartholomews Hospital, London University, 1976. Joined the practice as a partner in 1981.

 

Interests include bone and joint disorders, teaching and medical photography. He is

also an experienced GP Trainer.

 

Outside work Dr. Clarke enjoys cycling, golf and bee-keeping.

 

Dr. J.V. Howard 

MBBS Royal Free LRCP MRCS 1972 FRCGP FPCert PGC Med. Ed.

 

Special interests: Dr. Howard is a GP with a Special Interest in Cardiology, providing extra service to our patients and those from neighbouring practices. He is also an experienced GP Trainer and educator. His interests include Dermatology and Minor Surgery.

 

Outside interests: Dr. Howard is the Chairman of the national MRCGP (International) Committee. He is an appraiser for local GPs and visits other practices to assess their performance against the Quality and Outcomes Framework.

 

 

Dr. F.C. O'Brien 

BA (Cantab) MB ChB (Birmingham).

 

Time with the practice: 25 years

 

Dr. K. Defriend

MB, BS, Bart's 1993, MRCGP, DRCOG, BSc (Hons), Psychology

 

Dr. DeFriend has been a Partner in the Practice since 1996.

 

He has special interests including Minor Surgery, Asthma, Paediatrics, Mental Health and Dermatology.

 

 

Dr. C. Warwick

MA (Cantab) MB BChir DGM DRCOG MRCGP PGCertEd

 

Qualified Cambridge University 1997. Joined the practice as a GP Registrar in 1999, then returned as a salaried GP in 2005. Dr. Warwick became a partner in October 2007.

 

Interests include Medical Education, Child health, Minor surgery, Cryotherapy and Care of the Elderly.

 

Currently Associate Dean for Epsom Vocational Training Scheme responsible for teaching and placing GP Registrars, and Clinical Supervisor for the Practice Foundation Doctor. Dr. Warwick has recently passed his Masters in Medical Education at the London Southbank University.

 

Outside work Dr. Warwick enjoys choral singing and sings in several local choirs, international travel and swimming.

 

Dr. J. Cory

MB BS Charing Cross and Westminster 1996 DFFP MRCGP

 

Dr. Cory joined the Practice in 2005 as a salaried GP and became a partner in 2010. Her areas of special interest include Women's Health, General Medicine and Chronic disease, particularly in the Elderly.

 

Outside work, this action woman enjoys wind-surfing, going to the gym, theatre and family.

 

Dr. P. Woolner

MBChB (Hons) Birmingham 2001 MRCGP MRCP DFFP PGCME

 

Dr Woolner joined the Practice in 2007. Her areas of interest are Medical Education, General Medicine and Paediatrics. She works for the practice 2 days a week and also works 1 day a week as a Programme Director for the local GP training scheme.

 

Outside of work, Dr. Woolner enjoys spending time with her young family.


 

 

Dr. S. Fernando (on maternity leave until 2013)

 

MB BS (Lond) 2005 MRCGP DFSRH DCG

 

Dr. Fernando joined the practice in 2010. Her areas of special interest include Gynaecology, Paediatrics and Mental Health.
